Ebony "Hustle" Howard, 50's black female, has a sense of justice and high level of curiosity. She always seems to find herself in the most unusual circumstances. Ebony need to stand up for the little guy, always gets her in trouble. She uses her knowledge of the streets and friends from her strip club days to solve crimes. They are always willing to help her out, no matter the problem. The one thing that often throws her off track is her weakness for young men. This “cougar“ will always take a pause for a young guy.
When Ebony gets a case that requires a little muscle, she leans on her lesbian friend Cardie “Cal” Givens. Cal is a ex-Marine and young woman in her 30's who has a bit of a crush on Ebony. Knowing they will never hook up, Cal still puts on her best game.
On most days Ebony gets cases about cheating and fraud. Today Glenda Murphy contacts her for help with daughter Keisha. She believes that Keisha is being held against her will by former rapper turned pastor Caleb Truth. Ms Murphy has been unable to contact Keisha in over a year and wants BC to bring her home. Caleb and Keisha are in town, briefly for a religious revival. Time is of the essence.
To keep Ebony from getting in over her head on a case, police detective Wayne Thomas, black male 40's keeping her on the straight and narrow. Wayne and Ebony have a long history working together and being married. Divorced after 5 years with no clear reason why.
Ebony Hustle is a film about lust, street knowledge, and justice.
